Sutton Harbour Festival Plymouth - 26 Jul - 3 Aug 2008 (annual)

The Port of Plymouth Regatta, the annual Plymouth Classic Boat Rally and a variety of on-shore activities come together to form the Sutton Harbour Festival.

The British Fireworks Championships - 12 - 13 Aug 2008 (annual)

The competition, organised by The Event Services Association (TESA) and supported by Plymouth City Council, is now in its 12th year and has become a fixture on the Plymouth calendar and major tourist attraction attended by thousands each summer.

Sea Cadet Band Championship - 23 Aug 2008

Sea Cadets from all over the UK will be taking part in the national finals of their bi-annual national band concert. This event showcases the very best sea cadet musicians in the country.

Plymouth Bonfire & Fireworks - Nov 2008 (annual)

Every year Plymouth City Council organises a bonfire and fireworks display that attracts a large crowd. The event at Plymouth Hoe also includes games and entertainment from local radio stations, fairground rides and food stalls.

Glyndebourne on Tour - Dec 2008 (annual)

As part of its Autumn 2008 Tour, Glyndebourne on Tour (GoT) will be will be performing The Magic Flute, Carmen and Hänsel und Gretel at Plymouth Theatre Royal.

Christmas Illumination Switch On - Nov 2008 (annual)

Plymouth's Christmas lights are switched on every year by a local celebrity, attracting a large crowd. The event signals the beginning of Christmas Shopping / Festive season and there is plenty of family entertainment.
